The School Day

The school day starts at 8:45 a.m. and finishes at 3.15 p.m.

Registration

Registration is at 8.50 am, followed by the first teaching session.

Key Stage 1

In Key Stage 1 at 10:15 a.m. there is an assembly.  This may be in class, as a year group or as a key stage.

Playtime

Key Stage 1 playtime is 10:30 to 10:45.  This is followed by snack time of fruit in their classrooms. The second teaching session starts at 11.00am

EYFS

As we deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum an EYFS school day is slightly different.  There is a combination of teacher led/carpet sessions and child initiated activities.  Due to this the EYFS children work both inside and outside so do not stop for a morning playtime.

Over the course of the week there is an assembly in the classroom to address current topics and embed social skills.  Year group and singing assembles are introduced as the year progresses.

Lunch

The lunch break is from 12.00 until 1.15pm, followed by afternoon registration and the third teaching session.

Maple, Cherry and Tulip classes leave from the school side gate and Oak class via the door to the right of the side gate.  Year 1 classes exit via the old front door and Year 2 classes exit via the main front door.
